Have His Carcase (Lord Peter Whimsey book 2)

by Dorothy Sayers.

The second in this series (the series is actually much longer but I'm talking strictly about the books that include Harriet Vane) was also a delight. Harriet Vane goes for a hike and finds a dead body upon a rock. She's convinced it's murder although it looks like suicide at quick glance. Lord Peter Whimsey joins her in the hunt for the killer and the whole while still trying to convince her to marry him.

This book went slowly for me because I was so busy with other things but I really love the characters. While it's not hard to put down at times it's always enjoyable to pick up so it's a nice change of pace for a while!
