Silent on the Moor (silent book 3)

by Deanna Raybourn.

I bought this the very day it came out in audio form! I've been waiting so long for it! My first (and hopefully only) complaint - they changed readers AGAIN! That's 3 different readers. Luckily there has been a lot of time since I listened to the first 2 so I could almost forgive this - but I really wanted to re-listen to 1 and 2 but that would have driven me batty. Instead a friend of mine listened to 1 and 2 and gave me very detailed recaps so I was ready to start 3.

I thought this was a trilogy at first, when I found out it was a series instead I was a little worried certain things would get dragged out, get old etc. But she has done an amazing job with this series so far. I absolutely loved this one! I even went and ordered the first two in paperback so I can re-read them now! This series is right up there in my very favorites.... if I recall correctly my favorites right now are:

Pride & Prejudice
As Assembly Such as This ... (trilogy by Lady Aidan)
Poison/Magic/Fire Study trilogy
Silent series

So it's really up there!

Northern Lights

by Nora Roberts.

This book is huge - it's from my mom, I generally like Nora Roberts when she writes a series (love her JD Robb series, and I enjoyed the Sign of 7 Series immensely). This was my first stand alone book by her.

The timing was very strange, lifetime is showing these 4 Nora Roberts book based movies, one each saturday and last saturday they showed the first - Northern Lights. Instead of watching it I started the book. However Tuesday night it was on again and i did catch the beginning, i went to bed however once it passed where I was in the book (which was early on) and my husband watched it without me (he's a funny guy). All in all the book was okay, a bit long for what it was and kind of dragged on. Definitely didn't keep my attention the way the Amanda Quicks do but it was enjoyable.

I finished this last night so it took a week and a half to read, that alone is an indicator that it couldn't keep me reading. Plus I'm listening to Silent on the Moor right now and THAT one is enthralling!!!!!!!

The Pagan Stone (Sign of 7 series, book 3)

by Nora Roberts.

What a great trilogy! Scary but great. I was up until 2am Sunday night finishing this book because I just had to see how it ended. I love books like that. It's not a great series for bedtime reading if you're easily scared though. I woke up about 3am thinking spiders were coming down from the ceiling to attack me! Luckily it didn't keep me awake too long :)

I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a little paranormal mystery and suspense.

The Hollow (Sign of 7 series, book 2)

by Nora Roberts.

I read that one fast! It's only Friday - I think I started it Wednesday night? I finished it this morning. I love this series. She always ends with a bang and I love all the mystery. I still have no idea how this will end up going which is great too. I'm sure I'll start the third one some time this weekend. I've been working some late nights and using this book as a good distraction before bed. It's kind of on the scary side for bedtime reading though!

Blood Brothers (Sign of 7 series book 1)

by Nora Roberts.

Wow! I have not read a lot of Nora Roberts (although I've read almost all of her J.D.Robb books and I love them!). This book was great. It's heavy on the paranormal and almost Stephen King like. The romance is still there but not overly done and I love the group of characters. She ties them all right in together, building some great bonds. I can't wait to see where this goes. I was very skeptical about how she would end book 1 but she did a great job. I can't wait to start book 2 maybe tonight!

Summer in Eclipse Bay (Eclipse Bay book 3)

by Jayne Ann Krentz.

The third and final in the Eclipse Bay series. I enjoyed wrapping this series up, it wasn't as gripping but it had a nice family element since there was a son involved. I think there will be more tie ins to this series (she pulled A.Z. into one of the Arcane books, I have a feeling Virgil will also get pulled into something so we learn a bit about his history).
