Black Rose (In the Garden book 2)

by Nora Roberts.

The second from the In the Garden series. This one focuses on the relationship between Rosalind and the guy she hires to look into her family history. They are trying to solve the mystery of the ghost. The ghost gets much more active in this book as we start to learn a lot more about her feelings!

Divine Evil

by Nora Roberts.

ooooohhh.. this one is DARK. I love it. Some Satanistic rituals, a bunch of murder and mayhem, it's all about the mystery which I LOVE. The romance truly is on the back burner, not that it isn't highlighted but they don't fight it as much as they do in the books that are all about the romance. It's easier in the mystery books and I like it that way.

I loved the ending of this one, great twist and I hope I can find more Nora Roberts books like this, this was much closer to her JD Robb tone which is what got me hooked on her in the first place.

Obsidian Prey (Harmony book 6) (Arcane Society book 7)

by Jayne Castle.

I started this friday afternoon and finished it saturday morning after staying up late saturday. This was the much anticipated cross over of Arcane Society with Harmony although there wasn't a lot of Arcane Society in it. The male lead was from the Sweetwater line so it was nice getting to know that line that has come up often in the Arcane books.

It was also neat seeing some new Amber abilities and how the Amethyst Amber ability was tied to crystal workers. I like those kind of ties between books.

Blue Dahlia (In the Garden book 1)

by Nora Roberts.

No mystery in this series - a bit of a ghost story which adds some interest but mostly I like this series because of the 3 strong female characters and their interactions with each other. It's the start of a family in book one and watching that family grow, plus I enjoy the garden references which I think will get stronger in book 2 since it's about Roz who owns the nursery. Book 1 is about Stella who has 2 young boys was widowed 4 years ago (the first few chapters were very rough living through that part of her life with her). She unexpectedly finds herself in love with a man who is the complete opposite of her but who loves her and her boys so what can she do :)

I look forward to reading the next 2 in the series but FIRST i HAVE to read the new Jayne Castle "Obsidian Prey" which is a Harmony/Arcane Society cross over and I've been waiting for it!

River's End

by Nora Roberts.

Another enjoyable one, I didn't think I'd like this one as much as Carolina Moon, not knowing if there'd be enough mystery but I was wrong. I did like this one and it even had a twist at the end that made it even more interesting. I finished this up the friday after camping - I'm on a schedule of finishing books on a friday morning after a week of reading in the evenings :)

Without a Trace (O'Hurley's book 4)

by Nora Roberts.

This one was probably my favorite because there was more mystery involved and it tied things up nicely with the family getting all together at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this series all in all even though it went really fast!

Skin Deep (O'Hurleys book 3)

by Nora Roberts.

I can relate to this character even less but the book is still enjoyable. This one had more mystery at least than the first two which made it interesting in that sense and not completely predictable until the end.
