Affair

by Amanda Quick.

I have started on a pile of Amanda Quicks as bedtime reading. Not always a good idea because sometimes I end up staying up quite late to keep reading!

This one is about a woman who created her own business when her step father died leaving her and her sister penniless. She then needs to hire a new man-of-affairs/bodyguard when she decides to investigate the murder of a client. Eventually the man-of-affairs bit isn't enough and they decide to pose as an engaged couple and start up an affair. All very normal Amanda Quick - gotta love it when it's more of the same that you love!

Running Hot (Arcane Society book 5)

by Jayne Ann Krentz.

I love the Arcane Society series! And book 6 comes out in April. I waited to read Running Hot because I really didn't want hard cover but then it came out in audible and I scooped it up! Hopefully book 6 will do the same.

This one has a tie back to the Eclipse Bay series that I've also almost finished. Really neat! I really like the Arcane series because there's a little more danger and a lot of mystery and the paranormal twists are just great. I can't get enough of these!

This one had a lot of setup for a future one that I assume is coming down the pike which will tie up a romance for Fallon Jones. Not the next though - that's an Amanda Quick so it's back to Victorian Age!

Dawn in Eclipse Bay (Eclipse Bay book 2)

by Jayne Ann Krentz.

This is the second in the Eclipse Bay series. After enjoying the first one after Christmas I went and bought the second and third. This one was very enjoyable, I still think the Madison/Harte Romeo & Juliet theme is a little over done but it wasn't bad. This time there was no murder - still a little danger and mystery though. And the first two characters from book 1 made a nice appearance. Also a setup for book 3 was given (just like in book 1).

I'm not jumping to read book 3 (which is good since my sister is borrowing it) - I think I'm going to jump into the world of Amanda Quick for a while (I have 5 stacked up). Then get back to Eclipse Bay later. I think Running Hot (Arcane book 5) which I will start listening to today ties into Eclipse Bay by referencing Arizona Snow (A.Z.) which should be neat!

Dark Light (Harmony series book 5)

by Jayne Castle (again).

This is my 100th post! Neat :)

Well I re-read Dark Light - it went really fast but it was very worth it to read again, all of the characters that are referenced I actually knew this time, it was great! That finishes up the Jayne Castle series for now until she rights a new one, she's hinting at having a crossover with the Arcane Society series - that would be great!

Just checked the website - a new Arcane Society book (6) is coming out in April - it's Amanda Quick so it's Victorian Age, then this summer a new Jayne Castle? Arcane Society is coming out (Harmony book 6/Arcane 7?). Oh goody!!!

You Slay Me (Aisling Grey, Guardian, book 1)

by Katie MacAlister.

I got this on an audible sale and decided to try it - it's a dragon series and I am always obsessed with dragons. It was okay, it was very witty and funny, the romance was a bit over the top (she thinks the guy is a murderer but can barely keep her clothes on in front of him) - hard to relate to that part. I did enjoy it and would like to read the rest of the series, mostly because her next connected series (Silver Dragons) starts after Aisling book 4 but from the reviews it sounds like I'll like the actual relationship in that one better. I really liked the demon Jim, some great comedic relief!

Silver Master (Harmony Series book 4)

by Jayne Castle.

This one was great, I love the silver light part - how neat. It also made me excited to read book 5 again (even though i already read it out of order) as now I understand the history behind the different ghost lights. I liked this one better than Ghost Hunter, couldn't exactly say why but I did and I read this one all in 24 hours (started Wednesday, finished Thursday). Thursday night I started Dark Light for the second time. What on earth will I do when these are over!!! I know she's still writing these (actually there was rumor of tying her Arcane Society series into these which would be great!) I guess it's back to Amanda Quick next (I have 4 new ones on my bedside table waiting!).

Ghost Hunter (Harmony Series book 3)

by Jayne Castle.

Wow - okay I'm going through these fast. The third book was some new characters however they managed to tie in the main characters from 1 and 2 a bit. Even though the book is so predictable (if they mention something it's usually important later on) I still can't put these down! I thoroughly enjoyed the short time I spent reading this one :) Let's see I finished this one Wednesday night (started it late Sunday night) I believe. Then I jumped into the next one and finished that as well!
