So many books...

It has been a long time since I posted and a lot of reading has happened so I'm going to try to summarize the books here and I'll add labels based on authors to make it easier to search later.

Iron's Prophecy by Julie Kagawa.
This is a follow on book (novella) that gives some information following the first 4 books that is important for the new spinoff series.  It gives some insight into how things are going and some possible future outcomes... with some twists.

The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa
This is a follow on book/spinoff of the original series.  It follows Ethan (Iron Queen's brother) and his adventure now that he's grown up.  I really enjoyed it, although it was driving me nuts that he was so angry and wouldn't just talk to his sister but it definitely has some potential as a series and I hope she continues it.

Angelfall (Penryn & the end of days) by Susan Ee.
A new series that I really really enjoyed.  Unfortunately there is no book 2 yet.  This is after the angel apocolypse and follows Penryn as she meets up with a fallen angel as she's on route to get her sister back from the angels.  I was captivated by this story and hope the author continues the series!

The Lost Night (Rainshadow Novel ) by Jayne Castle
I really enjoyed this book but realized I had missed a story and some introductions.  Luckily it didn't ruin the book, just got me more interested in reading her other new book I had missed.  Just another futuristic/paranormal romance, just comfort food for the brain :)

Canyons of Night (Looking Glass book 3) by Jayne Castle
So the looking glass trilogy wasn't my favorite, i'm actually not a huge fan of JAK's trilogies where she has one book per time period but I still always enjoy reading them as individual books.  I actually missed reading this the first time around (my family) so after reading Lost Night i realized i was missing some details and this book filled those in.

Edge of Oblivion (Night Prowler book 2) by J.T. Geissinger.
Mmmm... I love this series.  This follows book 1 immediately, new characters (but still in touch with the old) and I loved it.  I really enjoy this new series, shape shifters (panthers) living in secret among us.  Old society, old rules, with a new modern queen now.  Definitely a lot of potential for stories here.  Book 3 comes out in June 2013!

Silent Night (Lady Julia Grey) by Deanna Raybourn
A novella/mini mystery set at xmas time for Julia and Brisbane.  Just a nice little short story to keep in touch with the characters we all love!

Compulsively Mr. Darcy by Nina Benneton
I loved this book.  I've been following this video blog adaptation of P&P and it really got me in the mood for this other modern adaptation where Darcy is OCD and Elizabeth is a doctor.  Misunderstandings arise a lot but it's fun and interesting.  I like how the characters actually talk (usually anyway) and the adaptation was well done for sure.

Dream Eyes (Dark Legacy book 2) by Jayne Ann Krentz
Some more paranormal romance, another Coppersmith and a lot of murder mystery.  Ties in to her other books outside of Coppersmith but only by reference which is nice.  I always enjoy these books!

These were all on kindle which is how i'm mostly getting my reading done lately.  I just finished Compulsively Mr. Darcy and next on the reading list is Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.
