by Amanda Quick.
I started this one Tuesday May 5 and finished it last night. This is the second in the Lavinia Lake and Tobias March trilogy. I really enjoyed this one and of course had a few laugh out loud moments which I find tends to happen more in the "series" ones where you get to know the characters so much more. I love the characters in this one and can't wait to read the third and final Lavinia book which I'm sure has a wedding in it since it's called "Late for the Wedding" :)
However I do not have the third yet, so I need something to read in the mean time and I have no idea what I'll pick up!

Slightly Shady (Lavinia and Tobias book 1)
by Amanda Quick.
This series of books are the last Amanda Quick books I have left to read (barring new ones coming out). I put them off not sure if I'd like a trilogy that is about the same couple HOWEVER since I LOVE the silent series (different author but same concept and similar time period even) ... I decided to finally give these a try.
I started this one Saturday (may 2) and finished it last night. This had a lot of similarities to Deanna Raybourne's Silent series, including the fact that the female lead does quite a bit of the solving of the mystery which I really like. One big difference though is that in this series the two main characters are definitely having an affair and in the Silent series they are trying hard not too for various reasons.

Smoke and Mirrors
by Jayne Ann Krentz.
This one was well done with multiple voices for the different characters, sometimes that throws me off but I liked this one. The mystery was good in this one and of course the characters were great. I think my only complaint was that sometimes (more in the beginning) the two readers seem to overlap each other a bit - almost sound like interrupting, rushing along, and sometimes the scene didnt' call for it so it was out of place and threw the listener off.

Silent in the Sanctuary (silent series book 2)
by Deanna Raybourne.
I love love love this series! And I'm catching new things this second time around. For example the reference to the Duchess of Devonshire - since I saw the movie The Duchess I now understand the reference to Devonshire! It's great!
I just finished this book and I'm not sure if I'll do book 3 yet or not since I just listened to it recently. I did not purchase it in paperback yet because it's not mass market so I may wait. That means I have to decide what to read next!

Truth or Dare (Whispering Springs book 2)
by Jayne Ann Krentz.
And the second one does not disappoint :) I figured this book would deal more with her psychic ability which was great. The same two characters (not usually the case for a JAK/AQ series but it was very enjoyable. Plus there were a lot more characters to get to know and like and more than one romantic couple which made it even more interesting!

I loved this even more the second time through. I even found a passage I wanted to mark because of the great foreshadowing. I absolutely love this series and I can't wait to start on the second one again now :)

An Assembly Such as This
by Pamela Aidan
A novel by Fitzwilliam Darcy. This is Pride & Prejudice from Mr. Darcy's point of view and is done in a trilogy. This is the second time I've read this but since I re-read P&P just a short while ago I had to give this another go-round.
I love this trilogy - almost as much as the original P&P! Reading this again was a real treat, except for the ending, once Darcy goes back to London I seem to lose interest. Due to this I'm skipping the second book and starting the third right off now which is Darcy going to Lady Catherine's where he will see Elizabeth! What a treat it is to re-read these, I finished this one last night and started the third before going to sleep.
